Quartz Rough

A naturally occurring, unpolished chunk of quartz crystal is known as “quartz rough.” It is essentially a raw piece of the mineral that has not been cut or shaped into a gemstone and is frequently used for lapidary work or as a decorative piece because of its natural crystal formations. When referring to clear quartz in its rough state, it is also occasionally called “rock crystal rough.”
