White sapphires exhibit exceptional purity and gleam and are the colorless, translucent, and pure form of the corundum crystal. A brilliant cut white sapphire that is incredibly transparent.
This is a member of the Corundum (aluminum oxide) family is the white sapphire stone. Pure corundum has no color at all. Due to their natural production, white sapphires are more uncommon than colorful sapphires. Small amounts of impurities from other materials give the crystals their color.
Color: The finest form of corundum, natural white sapphire is colorless.
Origin: Australia, Cambodia, Cameroon, Shandong, Colombia, Ethiopia, Kashmir, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Burma, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Montana, and Vietnam are among the countries with significant sapphire deposits.
Sapphire stone’s chemical composition consists of aluminum oxide (α-Al2O3) and trace amounts of iron, titanium, chromium, vanadium, or magnesium.

On the Mohs hardness scale, it is the third hardest natural gemstone after diamond and moissanite.
